What You’ll Do
As a Warranty and Rental Administrator, you will record, and reconcile warranty claims and submit them to the factory and distributors for defective parts. Manage schedule balance of warranty receivables and is responsible for the overall management of the day-to-day operations of the Rental Department. They are responsible for nurturing and cultivating a positive culture and work environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.
Your day-to-day will include:
Prepare, review, submit, and track warranty repair orders and claims accurately and according to dealership and manufacturer policies; Ensure proper documentation and verify criteria required by factory within 2 days of receiving repair order.
Monitor/track warranty parts for return daily and parts scrap weekly.
Follow up with the factories and distributors regarding unpaid claims.
Review and reconcile schedules and all warranty receivables daily.
Keep up to date on warranty compliance standards and recalls and train technician's and upper management on new warranty developments or informed on continued issues/mistakes.
Maintain service and customer records and correct billing and payment of sublet repairs under warranty.
Stays aware of all relevant manufacturer transportation programs and quickly adapts department to changes.
Regularly monitors the inventory and condition of rental fleet.
Handles entire lifecycle of rental inventory.
Tracks and updates all insurance claims, customer deductibles, and service and body shop progress.
Responsible for resolving customer complaints and assisting with customer issues when necessary.
Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect rentals.
Assist with other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business desired.
5+ years' Previous Dealership Service experience required.
